KEY FRANCHISE STATS
All you need to know about this franchise in a snapshot
Wow 1 Day Painting, a member of the O2E (Ordinary to Exceptional) Brands family, was established with the ambitious goal of revolutionizing the painting industry. The brand's standout promise is its ability to complete painting projects in just one day, a dramatic shift from the typical timeline that often spans several days. This innovative approach directly tackles a common customer frustration—the prolonged disruption of traditional painting jobs—setting Wow 1 Day Painting apart in the market.
The company's origins trace back to Brian Scudamore, the entrepreneur behind 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. Known for turning ordinary home services into exceptional experiences, Scudamore brought the same transformative vision to the painting industry with Wow 1 Day Painting. The brand is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, supporting a network of franchises across various regions.
Franchising was introduced as a strategic initiative to broaden the brand’s influence. By offering franchise opportunities, Wow 1 Day Painting has not only expanded its reach but also enabled entrepreneurs to run their businesses using a proven model. Franchisees don't need prior painting experience; they receive extensive training, recruitment support, marketing resources, and access to a central booking system, all designed to develop their leadership, customer service, and business management capabilities.
What truly distinguishes Wow 1 Day Painting is its dual focus on speed and quality, redefining what customers can expect from a painting service. The commitment to delivering a 'wow' experience with minimal disruption lies at the heart of the brand's competitive edge.

Initial Training Before the Franchised Business opens, the Principal Operator and other designated individuals must successfully complete the initial training specified by the franchisor. The format and content of this program are solely determined by the franchisor, and the cost is included in the franchisee's Initial Fee.
Employee Training Franchisees may provide initial training to their employees based on the Operations Manual. However, the franchisor can mandate that employees attend its training sessions at any time, with the franchisee potentially incurring a fee for these initial or additional training sessions.
Retraining If the franchisee fails to operate the Franchised Business according to the System and the Agreement, the franchisor can send representatives to the Franchised Location for retraining. The franchisee is responsible for the franchisor's training fee and must reimburse any out-of-pocket costs associated with the retraining process.
Additional Training Franchisees, along with their Principal Operator, employees, and representatives, must participate in periodic refresher training, service training, management training, and other courses as required by the franchisor. These sessions, which may be in-person or conducted electronically (e.g., webinars), are organized by the franchisor, who sets the duration, curriculum, and location. The franchisee is responsible for the current training fee and all related out-of-pocket costs incurred by the franchisor.
The franchisor offers a form of territory protection to franchisees, ensuring that as long as the franchisee fully complies with the Franchise Agreement, the franchisor will not establish, operate, or allow another franchisee to establish or operate a WOW 1 DAY PAINTING business within the franchisee's designated territory. This territory might be divided into subterritories, which would require additional franchise fees.
It is crucial to understand that this territory protection is non-exclusive. While the franchisee can operate and sell services within their designated territory, the franchisor retains the right to sell services outside the franchisee's territory, possibly using the same or different trademarks.
Additionally, the franchisor holds certain rights, including:
