Business Services

Training

Stratus Building Solutions offers a structured and multi-phase training program for its Master Franchisees to ensure thorough understanding and effective implementation of its business model. The training is divided into classroom and on-the-job components, blending formal instruction with hands-on learning. Here are the main training programs provided:

  1. Phase I – Initial Training
Conducted in North Hollywood, California, this phase includes a three-week training program with subjects like business overview, franchise sales, operations, customer contract sales, and administrative systems. It consists of 133 hours of classroom training and 55 hours of on-the-job training.
  2. Phase II – On-Site Franchise Sales Training
Occurring approximately two weeks after the initial training, this phase focuses on unit franchisee training methods, operational management, and customer contract sales. It’s held at the Master Franchisee’s office and reinforces the earlier material.
  3. Phase III – Customer Service Training
Conducted around 90 days after opening, this three-day on-site session covers client interaction, service quality, and support practices to ensure consistency in customer experience.
  4. Phase IV – Administrative Training
Held approximately 180 days after opening, this session addresses back-office functions including accounting, HR, and Opus system management, ensuring full operational efficiency.
  5. Annual and Regional Meetings
Stratus also hosts annual and regional seminars to update franchisees on new practices and reinforce brand standards. Attendance is mandatory, and franchisees are responsible for their travel and lodging expenses.

Territory Protection

Stratus Building Solutions provides its Master Franchisees with a designated territory that is typically based on a geographic region defined by population and statistical boundaries. During the term of the agreement, Stratus agrees not to open, operate, or authorize another Master Franchise within that specified territory.

However, this protection is contingent upon the franchisee meeting certain sales and growth benchmarks as outlined in the agreement. If the franchisee fails to meet those minimum performance requirements, Stratus has the right to revoke or modify the territorial protection.

This could include allowing other franchises or company-operated outlets to enter the same region. Therefore, while territory protection exists, it is performance-dependent and not absolute throughout the franchise term.
