Kitchen Solvers: Leading the Way in Premier Kitchen Remodeling

Since its founding in 1982, Kitchen Solvers has made a name for itself in the kitchen remodeling sector. Starting as a home-based enterprise, it has grown over the last 40 years, having successfully remodeled more than 50,000 kitchens. This growth is driven by their dedication to providing a "Pleasant Remodeling Experience," which has become a fundamental part of their service.

Based in the United States, Kitchen Solvers began franchising in 1982 to broaden its impact and offer opportunities to entrepreneurs passionate about home improvement. The franchise system is built to equip partners with extensive resources and tools, ensuring smooth operations and profitability.

A key feature of Kitchen Solvers' franchise is its strong vendor management program, which provides access to a wide range of high-quality products, materials, and services. This gives Kitchen Solvers a competitive edge by delivering exceptional craftsmanship and top-notch customer service.

What sets Kitchen Solvers apart in a crowded market is its focus on customer satisfaction. The franchise avoids aggressive sales tactics, instead favoring a consultative method that prioritizes understanding and meeting each customer's specific needs. This customer-first approach extends to its franchise partners, offering them comprehensive support and the essential tools for success.

Training

Pre-Opening Training Program: This essential program is mandatory for all franchisees and approved managers, covering a wide array of topics such as the company's introduction, history, core values, creation of the franchise vision plan, products, services, vendor relationships, advertising, marketing, sales, daily operations, product engineering, ordering, management, software use, financials, human resources, and refacing training. It includes 70 hours of classroom instruction and 22 hours of hands-on training, all conducted at their headquarters in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Ongoing Support and Training: To ensure continuous improvement and skill development, Kitchen Solvers may require new installers hired during the franchise term to undergo a day of training. The franchisee bears the costs for the new installer’s salary, benefits, travel expenses, and a daily training fee. Additionally, Kitchen Solvers organizes an annual convention that all franchisees must attend, with a possible attendance fee. Ongoing support and training sessions are provided as deemed necessary by the franchisor to keep franchisees updated with the latest practices.

In-Field Training: For further operational support, Kitchen Solvers offers in-field training upon request and agreement, available at their current rate. This service is designed to provide additional hands-on assistance to franchisees directly in their operational environment.

Territory Protection

Kitchen Solvers grants franchisees the exclusive right to operate within a clearly defined territory. The boundaries of this territory are determined by county lines, highways, streets, or zip codes. Typically, a standard territory includes up to 80,000 owner-occupied households. Franchisees have the option to expand their territory by acquiring additional contiguous zip codes, with a maximum limit of 110,000 owner-occupied households, subject to an Additional Population Fee.

For the duration of the Franchise Agreement, Kitchen Solvers commits not to establish another company-owned business or franchise within the designated territory. Additionally, they will not alter the territory boundaries without the franchisee’s written consent, as long as the franchisee adheres to the terms and conditions of the Franchise Agreement. The franchisee’s rights to the territory are not dependent on achieving specific sales targets or market penetration levels.

Franchisees must operate exclusively within their designated territory unless they obtain prior written consent from Kitchen Solvers. Furthermore, any marketing activities, including internet and direct marketing, that target areas outside the assigned territory require prior written approval from Kitchen Solvers. However, marketing efforts intended for the franchisee’s territory that incidentally reach beyond it are allowed, provided the marketing content is pre-approved by Kitchen Solvers.
