Training
Cabinet IQ provides a structured training program to its franchisees:
- Initial Training: The franchisor offers initial training for up to three individuals, typically including the Operating Principal, Manager, and Salesperson. This training is conducted at the franchisor's headquarters or other designated locations. Additional attendees are allowed, but the franchisee must bear their costs.
- On-Site Training and Opening Assistance: If requested, the franchisor can provide additional on-site training to assist with the franchise's opening. The franchisee is responsible for reimbursing any costs associated with this assistance.
- Refresher Training Programs: The franchisor requires the Operating Principal, Manager, Salesperson, and other key personnel to attend periodic refresher training programs, including an annual conference. The franchisee covers all related expenses such as travel, accommodation, and fees.
- Training for New Personnel: If there are changes in the Operating Principal, Manager, or Salesperson, the new personnel must undergo the franchisor’s training and certification programs. The franchisee is responsible for all associated expenses, including certification fees and travel.
- Training for Additional Staff: Franchisees are responsible for training any subsequent hires or replacements to meet the franchisor’s standards.
Territory Protection
Cabinet IQ offers a form of territory protection to its franchisees, providing them with a designated "Protected Territory." This protection ensures that the franchisor will not establish or sell additional franchises using the Cabinet IQ system within the assigned area, provided the franchisee adheres to all contractual agreements.
However, this territory is not exclusive, as the franchisor reserves the right to engage in other business activities, including online sales or partnerships, that may indirectly impact the territory.
The Protected Territory remains in effect throughout the franchise term as long as the franchisee fulfills operational standards, maintains adequate staffing and equipment, and complies with franchise agreements.,
