Training
Storm Guard provides a structured training program for its franchisees, covering essential aspects of business operations and management. The training includes the following components:
- Initial Training Program
The franchisor offers an extensive pre-opening training program at designated corporate locations, such as Cary, North Carolina, Fort Worth, Texas, or other approved sites. This program is mandatory for the Designated Owner and at least one Key Manager. It includes classroom and on-the-job training covering sales techniques, marketing, office procedures, recruiting, training techniques, and insurance adjuster training. - Ongoing Training
Storm Guard provides ongoing training to franchisees and their Key Managers as needed. This training may include updates on new products, operational procedures, or business management practices. Training sessions can be conducted via telephone, the internet, or at designated locations. - Annual Conventions and Meetings
The franchisor holds periodic conventions and meetings to cover various topics, including updates on construction methods, equipment use, franchisee feedback, sales promotions, and new customer sales techniques. Attendance at these events may be mandatory for certain franchise roles. - Practical Training in Franchise Territory
After the initial classroom sessions, practical training is conducted in the franchisee's territory. This phase helps franchisees implement systems and techniques learned during classroom sessions. - Specialized Training for New Systems or Software
Franchisees are required to participate in training for any new systems or software introduced by the franchisor, ensuring compliance and proper functionality of business operations.
Territory Protection
Storm Guard grants franchisees a defined "Franchised Area," ensuring no overlapping franchises or company-owned businesses operate within that territory, provided the franchisee complies with the agreement. This exclusivity supports business stability and local market control.
However, Storm Guard retains the right to use other distribution channels, such as online sales, within the territory. In emergencies, like weather-related damage, temporary access may be granted to other franchisees or company-owned businesses to meet customer demands.
