Footprints Floors: Revolutionizing the Flooring Industry with Exceptional Service and Innovation

Footprints Floors, a distinctive franchise in the home improvement sector, focuses on flooring installation and restoration. Established in 2008 by Bryan Park, a veteran dedicated to elevating customer service and professionalism within the flooring industry, the franchise began its franchising operations in 2013. Since then, it has experienced swift growth and expanded its presence nationwide. Footprints Floors' business model, which centers on offering labor for flooring installations rather than selling flooring products, has significantly driven its expansion.

Based in Littleton, Colorado, Footprints Floors distinguishes itself in the home improvement franchise arena with its low-overhead, home-based business approach. This model removes the necessity for costly real estate or complex leases. Franchisees benefit from not having to manage inventory or employee overhead, as all labor is performed by subcontractors.

The franchise also provides an exceptional support system, including a call center that handles marketing, customer inquiries, and appointment scheduling. This allows franchise owners to concentrate on business growth. Additionally, Footprints Floors offers thorough training and support, ensuring that franchisees are well-prepared to effectively manage their business, from overseeing subcontractors to delivering outstanding customer service.

Training

The franchisor offers extensive training to its franchisees, which encompasses the following components:

Initial Training

The Managing Owner and one manager must complete the franchisor’s initial training program, which includes both classroom and on-the-job instruction. This comprehensive training covers essential business aspects such as operations, sales, marketing, and people management. Training sessions may be held at a designated location or conducted remotely via online web conferencing.

Supplemental Training

With the franchisor’s approval, supplemental training may be provided within the franchisee’s Operating Territory or remotely. This training aims to address specific needs or ensure compliance with the franchisor’s operational standards.

System-Wide Training

Franchisees may be required to participate in system-wide training courses, refresher courses, or additional training programs and seminars as specified by the franchisor. These programs are designed to keep franchisees informed about new procedures, standards, or system requirements.

Ongoing Operating Assistance

The franchisor provides continuous operating assistance, offering advice on standards, procedures, and system requirements to help franchisees maintain the brand's quality and consistency.

Franchisees are responsible for the costs associated with attending these training programs, including expenses for travel, lodging, meals, and any fees for additional personnel beyond the Managing Owner and one manager who wish to attend the training.

Territory Protection

The franchisor offers territory protection to franchisees under certain conditions. The franchise agreement grants franchisees the right to develop and operate within a designated operating territory, which is specified at the time of signing the Franchise Agreement. The size and scope of this territory can vary based on local factors, market conditions, and any Additional Territories the franchisee may purchase.

However, the franchisor reserves specific rights, including the ability to operate and grant others the right to develop and operate Footprints Floors Businesses outside the franchisee's Operating Territory. Additionally, the franchisor retains the right to conduct activities such as internet sales, catalog sales, telemarketing, or other direct marketing sales within the franchisee's territory using the franchisor's trademarks. These rights are reserved without any compensation or consideration to the franchisee.
