Yummi Go Gourmet: Elevating Pan-Asian Cuisine Through Innovative Kiosk Experiences

Founded in 2011, GBC Food Services, LLC introduced Yummi Go Gourmet as a distinctive franchise specializing in sushi, dumplings, and other Pan-Asian delicacies. Headquartered at 14043 Distribution Way in Farmers Branch, Texas, the company began offering franchise opportunities to entrepreneurs looking to deliver high-quality Asian cuisine to diverse and dynamic environments.

Yummi Go Gourmet operates primarily through kiosks located in upscale supermarkets, hotels, corporate cafeterias, and university campuses. These compact units are built for efficiency, enabling franchisees to prepare and serve fresh dishes on-site each day.

The menu includes seasoned rice, crisp vegetables, and seafood, all attractively arranged in ready-to-go containers that customers purchase through the host facility’s existing point-of-sale system.

What sets Yummi Go Gourmet apart is its ability to combine convenience and culinary quality in a single, streamlined operation. By embedding within high-traffic host venues, the franchise brings gourmet Asian meals to consumers in a way that is fast, accessible, and visually appealing.

Training

Yummi Go Gourmet provides a structured and comprehensive training program to ensure franchisees are equipped to operate their Yummi Kiosk effectively. The Franchisor mandates that the Managing Owner or Operating Partner, along with up to five personnel per kiosk, must complete initial management training.

This program includes both classroom and on-the-job components, such as 5 hours of classroom training and 15 hours of hands-on instruction for customer-facing roles.

  1. Initial Training Program: Mandatory for the Managing Owner or Operating Partner and up to five staff members. Covers core operational tasks and customer service, typically delivered over two weeks at designated training facilities.
  2. Supplemental Training: The Franchisor may require ongoing training via online modules or in-person at kiosks. These aim to reinforce operational excellence and integrate any updates in procedures or equipment.
  3. Special Training for New or Additional Units: If a Managing Owner is opening a second location, additional training for that person and new staff may be required. Also, new managers and replacement owners or partners must undergo this training.
  4. Optional Conferences and Meetings: While attendance is voluntary, the Franchisor may hold regional meetings or annual conferences for general managers, providing further insights and support.
  5. Opening Support and Advisory Services: Before opening, the Franchisor may assign an opening crew to assist, and it may also provide ongoing advisory services, such as marketing or equipment updates, as deemed necessary.

Territory Protection

Yummi Go Gourmet does not grant territory protection to its franchisees. Franchisees are only authorized to operate at a specific approved location without any exclusive rights to a surrounding area.

The Franchisor may open or license additional Yummi Kiosks nearby and sell similar products through other channels. This means franchisees may face direct competition from the Franchisor or other franchisees within the same market.
