Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux provides a comprehensive training program for its franchisees to ensure they are well-prepared to manage their restaurants effectively.
The franchisor offers an 8-week Initial Training Program designed for up to six individuals, including General Managers, Restaurant Managers, and Executive Kitchen Managers.
This training includes various components such as orientation, front-of-house and kitchen positional training, restaurant management, financial systems, and operations.
Additionally, franchisees and their teams participate in on-site pre-opening and opening training provided by the Opening Training Team.
This support continues with field services and additional training through Walk-On's University, a program focusing on advanced management and operational strategies. Franchisees are also required to complete specific food safety certifications like ServSafe.
Ongoing training opportunities, annual conferences, and web-based tutorials ensure that franchisees remain updated on operational standards and best practices. The franchisor emphasizes maintaining these training standards across all levels of restaurant management to ensure consistent quality and operations.
Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux offers a level of territory protection to its franchisees as part of their franchise agreements. Each franchisee is granted a protected territory around their restaurant, which is defined in the franchise agreement and related documents.
Within this territory, the franchisor agrees not to establish or allow other franchisees to establish competing restaurants. However, this protection does not extend beyond the specific territory outlined in the agreement.
While the franchisor reserves the right to operate and franchise other types of businesses outside the defined territory, it does not guarantee exclusivity in those areas.
This means that franchisees may face competition from other businesses owned or franchised by the parent company outside their designated territory. Additionally, certain rights are reserved for the franchisor to merge or acquire other businesses, which could potentially introduce competition near, but not within, the protected area.
