Training

The franchisor offers a robust training program that equips franchisees with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully operate a franchise. The training includes:

Level 1 Training: Conducted at the franchisor's headquarters and a Certified Training Restaurant, this phase covers the basics of operating The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill franchise. It includes comprehensive instructional materials such as manuals, lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice. For one person, the franchisor covers the cost of one round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, and one daily meal during the initial training period.

Certified Training Restaurants: Designated restaurants serve as Certified Training Restaurants to train managers, shift leaders, and other staff members within the system. Franchisees might need to qualify their business as a Certified Training Restaurant and maintain this certification.

Software Training: Franchisees are required to adopt and use all mandated software and related systems, complying with any subscription and support agreements stipulated by the franchisor.

Business Operations Training: Beyond initial training, the franchisor may establish System Standards for ongoing operational training. This could involve hiring individuals who have completed specific training programs at a Certified Training Restaurant.

Post-Opening Training: The franchisor may mandate additional training programs for the franchisee, the Operating Principal (if any), and other employees. These programs can be conducted in various formats and locations as determined by the franchisor, and a reasonable fee may be charged for this training.

Territory Protection

The franchisor provides franchisees with a protected territory, ensuring that no other The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill business will be opened or licensed within this area, with exceptions for specific venues like enclosed shopping centers, universities, religious institutions, sports stadiums, amusement parks, airports, transportation centers, hospitals, military complexes, and restricted business complexes.

For franchises situated in a "limited access venue," the protected territory is limited to the venue itself. However, franchisees do not receive exclusive territory rights and may face competition from other franchisees, franchisor-owned outlets, or other distribution channels and competitive brands managed by the franchisor.

The franchisor retains the right to solicit or accept orders from consumers within the franchisee's territory without restrictions.
