Omega Learning Center: Revolutionizing Educational Support Through Comprehensive Services

Founded in 2005 in Acworth, Georgia, Omega Learning Center was established by Kimberly Smith, Kathy Keeton, and Joyce Smith with a mission to bridge the gaps they observed in local tutoring services. Recognizing the need for a holistic approach to education, they created a "one-stop-shop" offering a range of services tailored to meet diverse student needs.

The company’s headquarters remain in Acworth, Georgia. Omega Learning Center began franchising in 2007, expanding its reach to provide communities nationwide with accredited educational support.

The franchise offers a diverse array of services, including personalized tutoring for K-12 students, test preparation, after-school programs, online courses, and operates an accredited private school, Omega Private Academy®.

Setting itself apart from competitors, Omega Learning Center is the only tutoring franchise system in the U.S. to have earned national Cognia™ accreditation, reflecting its commitment to high-quality education standards.

Training

Omega Learning® provides its franchisees with a comprehensive suite of training programs. The training offered by the franchisor includes the following:

  1. Initial Training Program
This is required for the Designated Manager and up to three assistants. It must be completed at least three weeks prior to the opening of the center. It covers operations, administration, sales, marketing, financial controls, customer service, quality standards, record keeping, and reporting. The training is conducted either via webinar, at the franchisor's headquarters, or another designated location. While tuition is free, the franchisee must cover travel, accommodation, and related costs.
  2. Opening Assistance
A franchisor’s representative may be sent to the franchise location to assist staff with learning Omega Learning® Center techniques. This support helps with the transition into full operation and is provided at the franchisor's expense unless additional help is requested, which would then incur charges.
  3. Remedial Training
If deficiencies are found during field visits or through performance evaluations, the franchisee and staff may be required to attend remedial training sessions. These are at the franchisee’s own expense.

Territory Protection

Omega Learning® grants franchisees an exclusive territory defined by U.S. Postal zip codes, with a minimum population of 80,000. Within this area, no other Omega Learning® Centers or similar businesses will be established or licensed, as long as the franchisee complies with the agreement.

The exclusivity is not tied to sales performance or market penetration. The territory is detailed in the Franchise Agreement, and while advertising is limited to within the area, customers from outside may still be served.
