Wings and Rings offers a thorough training program for franchisees, designated individuals, managers, and employees to ensure they meet the franchise's operational standards and service quality. Here are the main components of the training:
Management and Employee Training Franchisees and their management staff must complete the comprehensive training program, which includes sessions on restaurant processes and operations, food preparation, guest interaction, shift management, bar management (including alcohol and dram shop training), marketing, public relations, special events, leadership, food safety, financial management, and human resources.
On-Site Training For their first Wings and Rings restaurant, franchisees receive on-site training for their employees at the franchise location for at least seven days, with all related expenses covered by the franchisor. For subsequent restaurants, on-site training is available upon request, but the franchisee must reimburse the franchisor for all associated expenses.
Additional and Ongoing Training If the franchisor determines that additional training is necessary for the franchisee, designated individual, or management employees to meet operational standards, they must undergo further instruction.
The franchise agreement includes a "Protected Territory," where the franchisor cannot establish or allow another Wings and Rings Restaurant (except for Special Purpose Outlets) without the franchisee's prior written consent, as long as the franchisee adheres to all franchisor-required methods, procedures, standards, and specifications.
Protected Territory Details Typically, the protected area is an eight-minute drive time radius from the franchised restaurant's location. Within this area, the franchisor may not establish or license others to establish another Wings and Rings Restaurant without the franchisee's written consent, provided the franchisee is in compliance with the agreement.
Special Purpose Outlets The franchisor retains the right to establish or license Special Purpose Outlets within the Protected Territory. Special Purpose Outlets include Wings and Rings Restaurants located in non-traditional venues such as shopping malls, hospitals, airports, university campuses, amusement parks, sports arenas, military bases, national parks, casinos, hotels, or similar locations.
Population Growth Clause If the population within the Protected Territory increases by more than 25% from the population at the time of the agreement, the franchisor reserves the right to establish or franchise another Wings and Rings Restaurant within this territory.
