Sport Clips: Revolutionizing Men's Haircare with a Winning Experience

Sport Clips, established in 1993 and franchising since 1995, delivers a distinctive haircare experience tailored for men and boys, set in a sports-themed environment.

The franchise, based in Georgetown, Texas, is renowned for its MVP Experience, which features a precision haircut accompanied by a hot steamed towel, a massaging shampoo, and a neck and shoulder treatment, all while clients enjoy sports programming.

Sport Clips employs a semi-absentee, manager-run model, enabling franchise owners to oversee their stores while maintaining other employment. This flexibility, coupled with robust franchisee support and training, leads to high satisfaction rates among franchise owners.

The brand is also noted for its active community engagement and commitment to giving back, enhancing its market presence.

  • The franchisor offers on-site assistance, pre-opening guidance, and supervision during the opening phase.
  • Franchisees are given a set of confidential operating manuals, which may include training programs in various media formats. These manuals cover standards and specifications for procedures, equipment, supplies, inventory, management, and operations.

Post-Opening Training

  • Continuous and general advisory support is provided for the operation and promotion of the franchise.
  • The franchisor upholds high standards of quality, cleanliness, safety, customer satisfaction, and service.

Territory Protection

Sport Clips franchisees benefit from territory protection under specific conditions. During the initial term of the franchise agreement, each franchisee is granted a protected territory, defined as either a one-mile radius around their location or a radius encompassing a total population of 25,000 people.

During this period, the franchisor agrees not to establish company-owned units or license other Sport Clips franchises within the protected territory. After the initial term, while exclusive territory rights are not guaranteed, franchisees are given the first right of refusal for any new locations within their original territory.
