Training

Senior Helpers provides a comprehensive training program for its franchisees. This includes an initial training program conducted at their headquarters or a designated facility. The training covers essential aspects of franchise operations, including adherence to the Senior Helpers brand standards, client care standards, and operational guidelines.

Franchisees are required to complete this initial training satisfactorily, including Key Managers and other personnel. Additionally, Senior Helpers may provide ongoing training sessions, which franchisees and designated staff must attend periodically. These sessions could include conventions, regional meetings, and specific training like the "Senior Gems" program for specialized care.

Franchisees are also responsible for ensuring that their employees complete all required state and local training, as well as maintaining necessary licenses and certifications.

Furthermore, within six months of opening, a Senior Helpers representative will visit the franchise location to assist with operations for two days. The franchise also provides ongoing guidance and access to resources such as an operations manual, marketing tools, and administrative support.

Territory Protection

Senior Helpers provides franchisees with a defined territory, which is outlined in the Franchise Agreement before signing. The territory is typically determined using factors like zip codes or natural boundaries and considers demographic and geographic information, including the population aged 75 and older.

Within this territory, the franchisee is granted certain rights and protections, such as the exclusivity of offering services to clients within the designated area.

However, Senior Helpers does not offer complete territorial exclusivity. Franchisees may face competition from other franchisees, the franchisor, or affiliated businesses.

While the franchisor commits not to open or license another Senior Helpers business within the franchisee's territory during the agreement's term, this protection is conditional on the franchisee adhering to the terms of the Franchise Agreement and maintaining satisfactory performance.
