Senior Care

Training

Senior Care Authority provides a comprehensive training program to support its franchisees in effectively operating their Placement Agencies. The training is detailed, multi-format, and tailored to equip franchisees with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The following are the main types of training offered by the franchisor:

  1. Initial Online Training Program: This core training lasts approximately six to eight weeks and is delivered through video lectures, web-based presentations, and one-on-one coaching. It covers essential topics such as operations, marketing, provider evaluation, contracting, and the use of technology and operating systems.
  2. On-the-Job Training: Conducted either at the franchisee’s location, within their territory, or via phone and live webinars, this training complements the online modules and includes in-person coaching where applicable.
  3. Refresher and Periodic Training: Senior Care Authority may require franchisees and their managers to attend periodic refresher courses. These can be delivered online or in person and are designed to reinforce system guidelines and operational standards.
  4. Annual Conferences and Webinars: Franchisees may be required to attend an annual conference and participate in monthly webinars or guest lectures. These sessions cover new developments and best practices in the industry.
  5. Optional In-Person Training: While the primary training is online, franchisees can request in-person training, for which they must cover associated travel and lodging expenses. This can include one-on-one coaching and tailored operational guidance.
  6. Trainer Expertise: The training is led by seasoned professionals including the founder Frank Samson and other certified experts in senior care and dementia practices, ensuring high-quality instruction across all topics.

Territory Protection

Senior Care Authority provides each franchisee with a designated territory identified in their Franchise Agreement. Within this territory, the franchisor agrees not to establish or license another Placement Agency operating under the same system and branding.

This territorial protection is valid throughout the initial term of the franchise, provided the franchisee remains compliant with their obligations and development schedule. However, the territory is not entirely exclusive.

Senior Care Authority retains the right to advertise and market their brand and system within any territory, and to operate or license other businesses under different branding, even within an existing franchisee’s territory. Additionally, the franchisor may reduce or modify the territory upon renewal or transfer, or if the franchisee fails to meet performance expectations or contractual terms.
